Serving at MBC
One of the best ways you can get connected at Millington Baptist is by finding a place to give of your time and talents as a volunteer. And the experience of most people is that serving the Lord in this way, whether in the church or in any other ministry, is sure to deepen your relationship with Him and accelerate your spiritual growth!
We have many ways to serve, in many different ministries. Take some time to explore the opportunities that MBC has to offer you. Talk to others about their experiences in serving. Talk to any one of the Volunteer Ministries Team members, who would be delighted to spend time getting to know you and suggesting some volunteer opportunities that fit who you are, and the time you have available.
If you’re not sure what kind of service would best fit your own personal gifts, abilities, personality and passion, you should consider enrolling in our course, “Developing Your SHAPE To Serve Others”. This twelve-week program, which is offered once each year, will lead you step-by-step through an exploration of your spiritual gifts, heart-felt interests, special abilities, personality, and experiences, discovering how God has uniquely prepared you for service in His kingdom.
Or perhaps you have a good idea of the kind of thing you’d like to do, but would appreciate the chance to “try it out” before making a commitment. If so, then our TestDrive program is right for you. Many of our ministries have set up one-time serving opportunities specifically designed to give you a good feel for what serving in that ministry would be like.
So don’t sit on the sidelines! There’s work to be done, and no one will be more blessed by your volunteering than you. We look forward to working alongside you.
