Welcome to MBC Youth Ministries!
It is a thrill for us to have you check out our Youth Ministry at MBC. We trust that you will find the information you are looking for as you browse! We can't wait to meet you in person and hope that you will join us soon at one of our functions.
Our youth group includes students in Junior High (grades 7 and 8) and in Senior High (grades 9 through 12). Our desire is that every teenager we meet comes to a places of KNOWING Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior. We also want to help them grow into BEING Jesus to others and to BRINGING Jesus to people that He loves.
Our youth group is exciting, dynamic, focused on Biblical truth, and always involved in something creative, imaginative and spiritually significant. We are anxious to meet new friends.
Here are some of the activities that we do in MBC's Youth Ministries:
- Sunday morning classes: both the Junior Highs and Senior Highs meet at 9 AM on Sundays to look at how God's word can be made real in their lives, schools, and relationships!
- Wednesday evening Youth Groups: 7:30 to 9:00 PM at the church
- First Wednesday of each month: Wild Worship--Junior and Senior Highs together praising God in creative and exciting ways!
- Second, Third and Fourth Wednesdays of each month: Separate Junior and Senior High Youth Groups
- Small Groups for Study, Prayer and Fellowship
- Separately for Junior and Senior Highs, boys and girls
- Retreats: Several times each year, our teens get away for a weekend of fun, fellowship, and a focus on our Lord and His call on our lives. Typically these include:
- Assateague Island, on the Maryland/Virginia border, for a weekend in mid- to late-September
- Junior High Snow Camp (January 29-31, 2010), at Word of Life Camp in Schroon Lake, NY
- Senior High Winter Retreat, (January 14-17, 2009), at Camp of the Woods, Speculator, NY
- Missions Trips and Projects:
- Summer Missions Trips, either within the US or to an international destination
- Plainfield Christmas Project, set for December 6 this year as a Winter Coat Give-Away
- Lots of other fun day trips and activities all year long!
